  • The Wedding Slacker ...


    Yes, that would be me! I fell off the wedding planning bandwagon months ago when I was busy with school, and now, I am finding it so hard to get back on! With less than five months to go, we still have no caterer, no engagement pictures, nada! We do have a venue and a photographer so I guess that's all we really need when it comes down to it, right? =) I am looking forward to some downtime during the holidays to get going on the wedding planning again ...

  • Wedding planning hiatus is officially over

    After a very stressful and busy summer, I am now finally back on track with wedding planning! Yesterday, we had our long overdue engagement dinner party. It was an intimate gathering of close family, and because it was Labor Day weekend, we killed two birds with one stone and had an "elegant BBQ" theme. Overall, I think the "meeting of the families" went well despite my concerns about how they would get along ... whew, what a relief!

  • Have you seen this book yet? This is the first wedding book I purchased from Amazon after hearing about Jo Gartin through my second favorite wedding blog (after Weddingbee, of course). Named by Vogue magazine as the "best wedding coordinator," Jo Gartin has planned weddings for Hollywood celebs, including Brooke Shields, Courteney Cox Arquette, Molly Shannon, and Taye Diggs.

    Because the wonderful world of internet is free, I don't plan on buying a lot of bridal books and magazines, but this one is a keeper. I am SO stealing some of her ideas.
